Miss Otis Regrets

Miss Otis Regrets, which takes its name from the classic Cole Porter song, is an hour-long one-man musical in two parts. A dark comedy styled after both 1950’s-era radio broadcasts and modern-day podcasts, the show exemplifies the adage “history doesn’t repeat itself but it often rhymes.” The first half of the show follows the story of the fictional Carl Otis, a gay postal worker navigating the trials of the Lavender Scare.
