This historic women’s club was organized to promote culture, education and philanthropy and has carried on this work for over 100 years. It was one of several California clubs named for Dr. Adrian Ebell who encouraged advancement for women. Women's clubs of that early era were critically important to the passing of the 19th Amendment, granting women the right to vote in 1920.
