Seattle Children's Theatre (SCT) is located at 201 Thomas Street on the grounds of Seattle Center—a major cultural hub in the heart of the city. Seattle Center is home to world-class museums, acclaimed performance venues, and a wide range of cultural events and vibrant community festivals.
SCT’s facilities include two main performance spaces: the Charlotte Martin Theatre and the Eve Alvord Theatre. The Charlotte Martin Theatre, which became SCT’s home in 1993, seats 482 guests and offers unobstructed views from all three seating sections. Located just west of the Space Needle in the lower Queen Anne neighborhood, this venue provides a dynamic and accessible experience for audiences of all ages.
The 275-seat Eve Alvord Theatre completes the Allen Family Technical Pavilion, a state-of-the-art complex that includes SCT’s paint, costume, prop, and scene shops, along with rehearsal and classroom space. As the first self-contained theatre facility in the United States designed specifically for young audiences, it has served as a model for similar institutions nationwide.
